Cargo needs a compatible body, enough tonnes and enough cubic metres. A truck may be free but still unable to take a contract until it is coupled to the required trailer in the same city.
Drivers change the forecast
Drivers have economy, speed and care ratings plus specialist traits. Use an economical driver on a long haul, a fast driver where the deadline matters, and a careful driver where condition or fragile cargo makes failure costly.
Condition and fatigue are operating costs
A worn truck consumes more and is riskier; an exhausted driver cannot safely take another job. Maintenance and rest cost attention now, but protect the throughput and reputation that make a growing fleet valuable.
